Upload bigger photos. Download bigger backups. No more stalls.
Photos, full backups, and restore archives can now be much larger without timing out. Upload a binder of high-resolution slab photos, download a multi-gigabyte backup, or restore a 500 MB archive without it stalling. Large files transfer in parallel chunks with a real progress bar.
Install Vaultry as an app on your phone, tablet, or laptop
Vaultry is now an installable app. Add it to your home screen on iPhone or Android, install it from Chrome on Mac or Windows, or launch it from Spotlight. No app store required. Login, scanning, and your full vault work exactly the same.
Scanner upgrades: beep, vibrate, torch, zoom, tap-to-focus
Every successful scan now confirms with a tone, a haptic buzz, and a green ring flash around the viewfinder. Toggles for sound and vibrate in Settings → Scanner. On cameras that support them, a torch button and zoom slider appear automatically — useful for low-light slabs and small print on micro-labels. Tap the viewfinder to refocus on a specific point.
"Scan Anything" from the inventory toolbar
The toolbar Scan button now decodes PSA / CGC / SGC cert codes, PCGS / NGC slab barcodes, ISBNs, VINs, retail UPCs, and Vaultry QR labels. A Vaultry item code opens the item; anything else drops into the search bar so you can find matching items in the current collection.
Bulk Add with saved templates per collection type
A keyboard-driven add flow built for binder walk-throughs and safe inventories. ⌘/Ctrl+Enter saves and clears the form for the next item, sticky lookups (manufacturer, brand, sport, grading service) carry across items, a per-item photo picker captures shots inline, and continuous-scan mode reopens the camera after each save. Save your common entry pattern as a template ("Main Safe," "Range Bag") and load it in one click next time.
PSA cert scan → full trading-card auto-fill
Scan a PSA slab barcode (or type the cert number) and Vaultry now fills in grade, year, set, card number, player or character, parallel, sport, brand, and grading service — all from the official PSA Public API. Bring your own PSA token for unlimited use, or opt into our Managed key for casual lookups with a small per-call fee. Free tier never touches a paid integration unless you turn it on.
Import a whole PSA collection from one CSV
Drop in the "MY INVENTORY" CSV from your PSA account and Vaultry auto-detects it, splits the Description field into Year / Sport / Set / Card # / Player / Parallel, sets grading service = PSA, and pre-maps every column. An optional checkbox also pulls each card's slab photos (front + back) into your gallery in the same wizard.
Print QR code labels (Avery 5160 + 5167 sheets)
Generate ready-to-print PDFs of QR-coded labels for your inventory. Stick them on storage containers, slab cases, safes, gun cases, or display shelves — then use the inventory Scan button to instantly pull up the item during audits. Avery 5160 (30/sheet) and slab-friendly 5167 (80/sheet) supported. Bulk select from inventory, or single-item print from the detail page.
Search across every collection field
Search now matches item name, serial, description, AND every collection-specific detail field — player + set on cards, designer + series on coins, VIN + make on vehicles, writer + publisher on comics. Lookup-table fields like manufacturer and caliber are also matched, so typing "Glock" finds the firearms tied to that manufacturer.
Cert verify deep-links for CGC and SGC cards
After entering a CGC or SGC trading card cert number, a Verify button now deep-links straight to the grading service's public cert lookup page — joining the existing PCGS and NGC verify flows for coins. Cross-graded collections covered end-to-end.
Book ISBN auto-fill via Open Library + Google Books
Scan the EAN-13 barcode on the back of a book (or type the ISBN), tap Lookup, and Vaultry pulls title, author, year, language, page count, publisher, and binding from Open Library — falling back to Google Books when the record is thin. Free, no API key, no third-party tracking. Soft-warns if you're about to add a duplicate ISBN to the same collection.
Numismatics: now covers banknotes, tokens, medals, and more
The Coins collection is now Numismatics, with banknotes, tokens, medals, exonumia, and scrip all welcome alongside coins. Eight new fields — designer, series, holder type, cameo type, toning, plus-designation, and catalog reference — give serious numismatists the schema they actually use. Existing coins are unaffected.
Barcode scanner for graded slabs
Tap "Scan" on the certification number field to auto-fill from a PCGS or NGC slab barcode using your device camera. Works on phone, tablet, and laptop. Supports QR, Code 128, Code 39, EAN-13, and UPC-A.
Verify graded coins with one click
After entering a PCGS or NGC certification number, a "Verify" button deep-links straight to the grading service's public cert lookup page. No more copy-pasting cert numbers across tabs.
VIN decoding for vehicles
Enter a 17-character VIN and tap "Decode" to auto-fill year, make, model, body style, drivetrain, and transmission from the NHTSA vPIC database. Free, no API key, no third-party tracking.
Friendlier validation errors everywhere
Rewrote validation messages across every form. Instead of cryptic technical errors, you now get human copy like "Drivetrain is too long — try a shorter form like 'AWD' or '4x4'." Field-level errors highlight the exact input that needs fixing.
Locked fields with admin override
Fields like serial number, VIN, and certification number are now locked after item creation to prevent accidental edits. Admin override is available with a required justification, captured in the activity log for audit.
Insurance documentation PDF
Generate a paginated PDF inventory report ready to hand to your insurer. Includes photos, serial numbers, declared values, grade information, and a timestamped summary of your collection.
Accessories collection type
Track accessories like scopes, suppressors, bullet trays, watch straps, and display cases as their own collection. Link accessories to the parent item they belong to and roll their value into the host item's total.
Dark mode
Added a dark/light mode toggle in the header. Your preference is saved and respected across visits.
Subscription billing
Choose a plan, enter payment details, and manage your subscription directly from the app. Upgrade, downgrade, or cancel any time.
Photo gallery for inventory items
