Vaultry gives you a few ways to sign in, and you can use more than one on the same account. Here's how they fit together.
One account, multiple ways in
You have one account per email address. On top of that single account you can enable any combination of:
- Google — one-tap sign-in; Vaultry never sees your Google password.
- Email + password — a password hashed with Argon2id (never stored in plain text).
- Passkeys — Face ID, Touch ID, Windows Hello, or a security key.
If you signed up with Google and later want a password (or vice-versa), link the other method from Settings — you won't end up with two separate vaults. If two sign-in methods share the same email, Vaultry keeps them on the one account.
Reset a forgotten password
On the login page, choose Forgot password. We email you a reset link; open it and set a new password. If you originally signed up with Google and never set a password, use Continue with Google instead — or set a password first from Settings.
Don't see the email? Check spam, and make sure you're using the address you signed up with.
Verify your email
If you registered with an email and password, confirm your address from the verification link we send. You can use Vaultry before confirming, but a banner will nudge you until you do. See Create your account.
Sessions
For your protection, a signed-in session lasts at most 7 days before you're asked to sign in again. Signing in on a new device doesn't sign you out elsewhere. If you ever suspect someone else has your password, change it and — if you haven't already — turn on two-factor authentication.
