When you create a collection you choose its type, and that choice shapes everything inside it — the fields on each item, the condition scale, and the filters available. You catalog a coin the way coin people do and a firearm the way firearm people do, without wrestling a generic form into shape.
The 15 built-in types

Type-specific fields
Each type surfaces the fields that matter for it, for example:
- Firearms — make, model, serial number, caliber, action type
- Numismatics — denomination, year, mint mark, grade, grading service
- Trading Cards — set, year, card number, player, grade, certification number
- Watches — brand, reference number, movement, case size
- Vehicles — VIN, make, model, year, mileage
Alongside those, every item shares common fields: name, value, condition, location, acquisition date and price, and notes. You only have to fill in what you track — most fields are optional.
More than one collection of a type
You can create several collections of the same type — say Rifles and Pistols, both Firearms, or one Trading Cards collection per sport. Your item limit is counted across all of them.
