Link accessories & related items

Updated · 1 min read

Collections aren't just flat lists — pieces relate to each other. An optic and a suppressor go on a specific rifle; a strap belongs to a particular watch; a set of dies pairs with a press. Vaultry lets you link items so those relationships are recorded and easy to follow.

Link two items

  1. Open the item you want to link from (say, the rifle).
  2. Find the Attached / related items section and choose Link an item.
  3. Pick the item to attach (the optic) and choose how they relate.

Relationship types include Mounted On, Paired With, Stored With, and Compatible With — pick whichever describes the connection.

Where this helps

  • Accessories — keep optics, suppressors, magazines, and straps tied to the piece they belong to instead of floating loose in your inventory.
  • Provenance — link an item to its box, papers, or receipt if you catalog those separately.
  • Navigation — jump from a parent item to its attached pieces (and back) in one click.

Good to know

Today any item can link to any other item — the relationship types are labels to help you, not hard rules. If you keep accessories in their own Accessories collection, linking them to a parent firearm is a tidy way to see a complete setup at a glance.
