Export to CSV

Updated · 1 min read

Your data is yours, and CSV export is the quickest way to take a copy with you. It's available on every plan.

Export a collection

  1. Open the collection (and filter it first if you only want part of it).
  2. Choose Export → CSV.
  3. Vaultry generates a spreadsheet of your items and downloads it.

The export includes your item fields — built-in and any custom fields you've added — so it opens cleanly in Excel, Numbers, or Google Sheets.

What CSV export is good for

  • Analysis — pivot, chart, or total your collection however you like.
  • Sharing — hand a list to an appraiser or a fellow collector.
  • Portability — keep your own copy, or move data between collections.

CSV export vs. backup

  • CSV export gives you the item data as a spreadsheet — no photos. Perfect for analysis and portability.
  • Backup gives you a complete, signed snapshot including photos, meant to recover your whole account.

For insurance you usually want the insurance PDF rather than a raw CSV.
