Getting started with Vaultry takes about a minute. Every new account begins with a 30-day free trial so you can put your real collection in before you decide.
Two ways to sign up
On the sign-up page you can create your account either way:
- Continue with Google — one tap, no password to remember. Vaultry never sees your Google password.
- Email and password — enter your email and choose a password. Passwords are hashed with Argon2id; we never store them in the clear.
You only get one account per email address. If you first signed up with Google and later want a password (or vice-versa), you can link both to the same account from Settings — you don't end up with two separate vaults.
Verify your email
If you signed up with an email and password, we'll send you a verification link. You can start using Vaultry right away, but a banner will nudge you to confirm your address. Click the link in the email to clear it. Don't see it? Check spam, then use the Resend option on the banner.
Your free trial
The trial runs for 30 days with full access — add items, upload photos, run imports, everything. You can add a card during the trial to choose a plan; you won't be charged until the trial ends. If the trial ends without a plan selected, your account switches to read-only (your data stays safe — you just can't add or edit until you subscribe).
The trial is one per person — signing up again with a new email won't reset the clock, so give it a real run the first time.
Next steps
Vaultry also supports authenticator-app two-factor and passkeys — you'll find both under Settings once you're in. Want the security details first? See the Security page.
